Housekeeping and an Interview!

Topper Anton, who writes the fantastic Curve for a Strike, was kind enough to feature me in his "Twins Bloggers:  Get to Know 'Em" series, and you can read all about it here.  I haven't been doing much writing lately, since you know, I'm really not supposed to, but I've been otherwise ignoring doctor's orders and doing some redecorating up in this piece.  I've added some new features and new links in my sidebar (check it out, your blog is probably now in it).  I still don't have a new name for this thing yet, though I'm not exactly in a big hurry to change it.  Hey, that sounds like a job for you, the reader.  Yes, both of you.  If you have any suggestions for a new name, please feel free to leave them in the comments.  Or if you prefer, you can email me using the handy form I created in my sidebar (don't worry, it goes straight to my email and doesn't get published).  Maybe I'll put the best ones to a vote, and whoever wins gets, I don't know, like $5 or something.

First of all, so sorry about the carpal tunnel. I hope you're following the doctor's advice and NOT sitting at the computer too long. Second, a belated congrats on Man Muscles' MVP. Well deserved. Third, I loved the interview with you! Topper described your blog perfectly. And fourth, I don't have any suggestions for a new name for the blog except Punto Beans. (I didn't say it was a good suggestion. :)

Sideburned Overlord :-P (By the way, Blackburn's black sideburns do rival Mauer's, it's just that no one takes the time to mention this).

Actually, unless someone picks a name that you can't argue with, I'd say stick with Plunking Gomez. Not many people have a personality like his.

I'd love to submit a name but I might need it for my own with the switch out of the Dome...

For your new blog name, I would like to borrow a mispronunciation from Bert Blyleven who in the heated excitement of the game, combined the names Cuddyer and Kubel, and announced the next batter as "Cuddubel" (pronounced ka-doo-ble, accent on the doo).
I suggest the title "Cuddubel me" (in the tradition of "Mauer me" and "Denard me" but more mysterious, magical, and teddy-bear-like). A photo that morphs back and forth between Cuddy and Kubes would be nice too.

"Picked off first"

In reference to Cruddy and or Punto getting picked off, which has become a standard for a Tardy managed team.
