The No Good, Very Bad Vikings

I was going to write a post comparing the Vikings to the Mets because I could not think of another sports franchise that treats its devoted fanbase with more contempt, but you know what?  The Mets are making a serious attempt to improve their organization.  Apparently the Wilpons got tired of being a laughingstock and cleaned house, firing GM and noted doofus Omar Minaya and bringing in smart baseball people like Sandy Alderson, J.P. Riccardi, and Paul DePodesta.  As long as ownership can resist the urge to interfere in baseball operations, the Mets will give us little to laugh about in the next few years.  Although, this being the Mets, odds are also pretty good that the whole thing will blow up in their faces.

No, I'm Not Dead

I'm just really busy trying to not fail my classes, with varying degrees of success.  Thankfully, the semester will be over in a little over a month.
